20 years ago, you loved Grease. Now you need LUBE!
Opening June 24th, Lube! The Musical is an original musical comedy inspired by your favorite characters from Grease. This original blend of music from the 50s and 70s brings the gang back together after 20 years. Lube! The Musical! It's going to be one slick reunion!
Written by Deana Tolliver and TC Cheever, both veterans of the Boston theater scene, they called on their their own life experiences of love, marriage, and misfortune to demonstrate a possible "alternate ending" to those singing and dancing Greasers from the popular Broadway hit musical. Director David Marino has been adding his critical eye and theatrical flair to Boston productions since 1997. He conceived and directed various scripted and improvised shows including three of ImprovBoston's most successful shows Pirate Lives, Groaners and Boners, and Agent Spy, which was showcased at the 2004 Chicago Improv Festival. In 2007, David co-wrote and directed the critically acclaimed Southcity Theater production of Burlesque Me If I Love You: A Vaudeville Rendezvous. David has also worked on various projects with The Improv Asylum, The Tribe, Rough n' Tumble Theater Company, and The Flat Earth Theater Company.
