Programs for Children and Teens
The mission of ImprovBoston Youth Programs are to encourage and nurture our students’ innate curiosity, creativity, and ability to make connections with others. Our professionally-trained instructors create a fun and supportive environment within which students can explore, develop, and succeed, contributing to their overall sense of well being and connectedness in relationship to their families and wider communities.

  • Sibling discount is 20%. Multiple camp discount of 10% for each additional class. Contact our registration team for discount information.
  • Scholarship slots are available for each class
  • Each youth class ends with a performance for family & friends
  • Performance days are extended days for grades 5-12 - no extra fee required
  • Before and After Camp Care available for students in grades 1-8. Contact workshops@improvboston.com for pricing.




February and April Vacation Programs

Just for Laughs (Grades K-2/ 3-5)

This vacation help your child learn the basics of making people laugh in this fun-filled class. Students will learn the fundamentals of improvisation in a setting that allows for plenty of playtime. Children looking to test the waters of comedy and learn what makes a joke funny will love this class. The class will culminate in an end of term performance for family and friends!

Jump into Improv!  (Grades 5-8)

Help your child find their comedic voice with ImprovBoston! Using our unique approach to theater, students learn improvisation skills that not only make them better performers, but give them life long tools they can use every day. This class will teach students how to have confidence in their own point of view, accept even the biggest "mistakes" as gifts, become amazing team players, and communicate their ideas more effectively. Whether your child is looking to take their performing to the next level, or has never stepped on a stage before, this class has something for everyone. Each session concludes with a show that family and friends are encouraged to attend.

High School Program/Apprenticeship

Spend your vacation learning improv and helping others at the same time!  Each morning high school students will study improvisation with one of our acclaimed instructors.  Each afternoon students will assist other instructors with the youth classes.  Students will learn the fundamentals of improv and gain experience working with children at the same time.  The week will end with the students assisting the younger classes with their shows, then the high school students will perform a show of their own.  Maximum of 8 students for this program.  If interested please send a letter explaining why this program is right for you to workshops@improvboston.com.
